At the start of my course I was 100% sure that I wanted to be an installation artist, I was so sure that this was the way for me, however as the course progress’ I’m beginning to think of going down the interior route.
I have never before had a passion for interior or print but the more I see of digital print the more I want to specialize in this area.
Basso and Brooke were the first designers to open my eyes to digital print, I love their unique use of colour, shape and pattern, they have also started to design interior products.
I love the bright colours and the bold prints of their work, this is what inspires me to go down the interior route in university.
There was also an interesting article I come across when researching textile artists, it’s about graduate students from the UK and it shows their work, it’s very inspirational and again its worth a look at. It helped me understand the use of digital print and the amount of ways it can be used in.
This image reminds me of the Basso and Brooke collection, however I really like it , I find it unique and different.
It’s by a graduate student from London, you can find more about this article on this site…….http://www.yshlondon.com/report/new-designers-textiles-2010
