I visited a derelict site yesterday and it had the most awesome textures. In some cases it looked like there had been murals painted on the walls because the textures were so beautiful.
The cracks created depth within the walls and they had orange and blue colours running through them. I managed to capture some great shots 🙂
I have been working with Photoshop a lot and have created some interesting and brightly coloured prints. They have been merged with unique textures I have found in derelict buildings.
These are photos I have taken of textures I like. They are made up from broken glass and a build up of calcium found in a derelict place.
So my anti consumerist work got published in Bizzare magazine today. It is so awesome 🙂 very grateful and so happy. Take a look some great work in there.
I stumbled across this guy Chris Jordan who is a photographer but specializing in concept photography. His pieces stood out for me as I remembered a conversation I had today with a vegetarian.
It isn’t just about not eating meat to save the animals and to stop being cruel to animals etc, it is also about how we are all treating the environment. We all consume things that we don’t need. We all rush out to buy the latest products and fashions without regarding the waste that we all are creating.
I watched a documentary on the Vice channel and they went to the ocean near japan and took samples of the water there. It was full of deteriorated plastics, the ocean had literally turned into jelly.
All I am saying Is that people who jump down other peoples throats about eating meat, please open your eyes up to the other factors that have the same affect on animals. Do your research and understand what you can do to stop these poor animals consuming so much litter and plastic. We can all make a change.
Above is the link to the Vice documentary, watch it!
